Volunteers making all the difference

During June we had our first group of volunteers working with us at Maltiti and helping the students with their English skills. It was wonderful to have so many energetic and enthusiastic people coming to the centre, bringing fresh ideas and showing such a commitment to moving the project forward.

PENPALS ACHIEVE SPONSORSHIP TARGET

Our American penpals have achieved their target of raising enough money to send 9 of our students to school in September.

New Build Progressing Slowly but Surely

With a lot of help from UK organisations and our volunteers the new Maltiti centre is slowly taking shape and we are still hoping to open it later this year.

Welcome

Maltiti First Steps is a non-profit organisation based in Tamale, Northern Ghana.

We support the educational and vocational training of disadvantaged girls from surrounding villages, who would otherwise have poor life prospects.

Supported by enthusiastic volunteers and dedicated Ghanaian staff, Maltiti has made considerable progress towards achieving its aims.
